Meals: All meals are included during the retreat's safari, community, and luxury resort portions.
Transportation: All in-country transportation is covered, from your arrival in Nairobi to your departure from Mombasa.
Safari & Game Drives: Enjoy private game drives in a safari land cruiser with a pop-up roof, guaranteed window seat, and a knowledgeable English/Swahili-speaking safari guide.
In-Country Preparation: Our experienced in-country team will manage all logistics and details, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.
Project Costs: A portion of your fees helps cover the costs of the community project you’ll work on.
Not included in the price:
International and Domestic Flights: You are responsible for booking your flights to and from Nairobi and the domestic flight from Mombasa to Nairobi.
Visa: Please visit www.etakenya.go.ke to apply for your visa. Allow at least one week for processing.
Vaccinations/Covid Tests: You are responsible for any required vaccinations or COVID-19 tests.
Personal Insurance: Personal travel, baggage, and medical insurance are not included. Medical evacuation insurance is required for all participants.

Yes! Many of our participants come on their own, and we create a warm, inclusive community where solo travelers feel welcomed. For the first portion of the retreat, double occupancy accommodations are provided, and we will assign you a roommate. During the Watamu portion of the retreat, you’ll enjoy single occupancy accommodations, offering time for personal reflection. If you're traveling with a friend and prefer to share accommodations throughout the retreat, just let us know in advance and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.

The price covers accommodations, meals, in-country transportation, safari game drives, and all retreat activities. Additionally, a portion of your fees helps cover costs for the community project we’ll work on. You’ll be well taken care of from your arrival in Nairobi until your departure from Mombasa.

Participants are responsible for their international and domestic flights, visa fees, personal travel insurance (including mandatory medical evacuation insurance), and vaccinations or COVID tests as required.

Yes, both Keri and Deonne will be actively involved throughout the retreat. You’ll receive personalized coaching during designated sessions, and you’ll also have the chance to interact with them during meals, activities, and other group experiences. This is a rare opportunity to receive one-on-one attention while immersed in a transformative environment.

Dressing in layers is key, as the retreat takes place during Africa’s late autumn/early winter months. You can expect warm days and cooler evenings. A complete packing list will be sent upon registration, but essentials include casual clothing for outdoor activities, walking shoes or hiking boots, sunscreen, a sun hat, and a warm jacket for the evenings. Be sure to also check your airline’s luggage policies, especially for the domestic flight from Mombasa to Nairobi.

While we won’t be staying in malaria-prone areas, we recommend consulting with your doctor or a travel clinic about taking anti-malaria medication and getting any other necessary vaccinations. You can also visit the CDC website for the latest travel health information for Kenya.

By securing your spot at Wisdom in the Wild, you agree to follow all current CDC guidelines related to COVID-19 at the time of the retreat. Since these protocols may change, we will keep you updated on any new guidelines closer to the retreat date.

We recommend arriving on June 24th, as check-in is available from noon onward. This will give you time to rest and adjust to the local timezone. All ground transportation will be arranged once you arrive in Nairobi, so we’ll ensure a smooth transition as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

At the retreat, Keri and Deonne will work with you to develop a personalized plan to continue your growth and self-discovery after you return home. Many participants also find that the connections and friendships they build during the retreat become a valuable source of continued support and accountability long after the retreat ends.

As this is an exclusive event with limited availability, we do not offer refunds. By registering, you are committing to the full amount for your chosen accommodations. However, if you need to cancel, your deposit can be applied toward a future retreat.
